Family Trip to Hakodate

Winter Vacation

December the 20th was the last day of school before winter break.
As in the Summer i found myself and my classmates on all four, scrubbing the classroom floor with a teeny tiny sponge.
And after we gathered in the Gym hall to listen to some serious stuff, i was picked up and ready to go.

December 20th

We drove to Sapporo we're we stayed at my host fathers parents place, ate a feast and continued to Hakodate the next morning.

December 21st

When we got to Hakodate we went to Hakodate Mountain to see the scenery of the city from above.
Look at that line...
But we actually got in pretty quickly

Christmas decorations at the top
Even though we got up here quite fast, getting to see the scenery up here was a challenge   since it was so overly crowded. You really had to look out for people that were done taking photos and in that instant dive in and get a spot to look down.

But it was totally worth it, seriously these pictures can't do the real experience justice.

You see that Christmas tree? Coming up later yo
Creepy reflections in the back

On the way down

Churches in Hakodate

Then we went to see some of the churches in the area, the churches here in Hakodate

The church above was actually open so we went in to observe the mass abit before heading back to the car. To our surprise we actually got to see some firework when we walked out, and because the church was located a bit high, we had a good view of the city and the fireworks.

Hakodate Bay

After that we went to the bay to park our car and from there took a walk to the christmas market to see the Big Christmas Tree that was even visible from Mt. Hakodate.

Remember that? The christmas tree!!!
The lights actually switch back and forth between green and white light. So pretty!

Those Santas were kinda moving because of the wind, so for a moment i actually tought they were real people.
Back at our Hotel with a Super cute Christmas cake!

December 22nd

The tree in daylight!
The next day we went back to the bay to do some shopping at the market. There's seriously anything here food, cute shops and shops with all kinds of random shops.
There's a really nice shop that sells all kinds of orugoru's? Music box'es, you can even design your own if you want. Really impressive craftmanship i tell you.

After the shopping we went back to the card and headed for Daiheisen? in Obihiro where we'd be staying the night.
They have a really nice and big onsen.
Need to get my bangs cut...

Our room was really spacious too it felt like a small appartment.

December 23rd

The next day on our way home we stopped by a wine factory. You can actually get in and see how the machines are sorting everything and stuff.

Some really old wine...?

So i just got back home with my host family from our New Years trip.

It's been quite a few months since the last post, but i'm trying to get back to posting some more even though i'll be quite busy during my last month here.

December 29

We drove for around 4 hours to get to Sapporo from Kitami and when we got here we went to visit the Pokemon center and Loft in a shopping mall which i don't remember.

But it was awesome, bought some gifts and got a free sticker.

Then we went and stayed at my host mothers sisters house.

December 30th

Today we parked the car in one of those Ferris wheel like parking buildings, pretty nice~
